Note:  Movement II, “A Walk in the Park”, was written to celebrate Peter Schickele’s mother’s (Elizabeth Schickele) 80th birthday on 8/8/88.  It was finished the Sunday before the premiere.

Premiere:  May 19, 1992, the Lark Quartet at Bargemusic in Brooklyn, New York.
Selected performance:  May 20, 1992, the Lark Quartet and John Moses on clarinet at Merkin Concert Hall in New York City.
