Armadillo String Quartet

and Peter Schickele (75th
Birthday Season)
celebrate by presenting two different concerts

Peter joins the Armadillos — violinists Barry Socher and Steve Scharf, violist Raymond Tischer and cellist Armen Ksajikian — and guests Cheri Stark, soprano; Brian Pezzone, piano; Gary Woodward, flute; and Michele Zukovsky, clarinet, for the West Coast Premiere of Songs from “Baptism”; World Premieres of Autumn Trio for clarinet, cello and piano; and a new arrangement of The Household Moose. The concert will also include Peter Schickele chamber music A Little Welcome Serenade for flute and violin; and String Quartets Nos. 3 “The Four Seasons”, and 4 “Inter-Era Dance Suite”.

Hear Peter and the Armadillos (NOT Prokofiev) and their guests Joanne Pearce Martin, piano; Gary Woodward, flute; Stuart Horn, oboe; Michelle Zukovsky, clarinet; John Steinmetz, bassoon; and Steven Becknell, horn, re-create Prince Fred’s Music Chamber, performing P.D.Q.’s Schleptet and his String Quartet in F Major “The Moose” plus other works perpetrated by the minimeister of Wein-am-Rhein.
